QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF) or In-House

Replacing the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved First Aid at Work course, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Once qualified, holders of this First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience, for example, clerical or engineering staff. The First Aid at Work course is run over three days and includes both theory and practical sessions. By arrangement the course can be run on non-consecutive days, for example - one day a week over three weeks.
Upon successful completion certification is valid for three years
Candidates need to attend all 18 hours, be over 16 and complete practical and multi-choice tests. First Aid training has physical elements to the course, the HSE require all First Aiders to be physically able to undertake the task. If you feel that you may have issues regarding your suitability please feel free to contact Attain2Gain and ask to speak confidentially to the Course Director. If you have any problems with reading or mobility you have an obligation to let us know. Reduce the physical participation if you are feeling unwell as we cannot be held responsible for exacerbating any injuries on courses as you must take all reasonable steps to protect your own health & safety. We recommend that you wear older clothes, trousers and flat shoes. It is a good idea to bring a jumper or fleece as some people are warmer than others and it helps keep everyone happy. If you learn best by making notes, please bring a notepad and pen.
