First Aid at Work Annual Refresher (QAR) or In-House

In line with the revised Health & Safety Executive First Aid Guidance issued on 1st October 2009, annual updates are strongly recommended. Skills fade is a very worrying factor in your First Aiders. We are able to offer a half-day annual refresher course that is suitable for those staff who have completed either the three-day First Aid at Work or the one-day Emergency First Aid at Work courses. This is an ideal course to help keep your first aiders updated; it also provides an opportunity for them to ask questions to their instructor and peers.
The syllabus includes:-
First Aid training has physical elements to the course, the HSE require all First Aiders to be physically able to undertake the task. If you feel that you may have issues regarding your suitability please feel free to contact Attain2Gain and ask to speak confidentially to the Course Director. If you have any problems with reading or mobility you have an obligation to let us know. Reduce the physical participation if you are feeling unwell as we cannot be held responsible for exacerbating any injuries on courses as you must take all reasonable steps to protect your own health & safety. We recommend that you wear older clothes, trousers and flat shoes. It is a good idea to bring a jumper or fleece as some people are warmer than others and it helps keep everyone happy. If you learn best by making notes, please bring a notepad and pen.
